The Iloilo City Gallery, located at the ground floor and close to the main entrance of the City Hall Building, was opened to the public last June 1, 2012 with Philippine President Benigno Simeon Aquino III and several Cabinet secretaries among its first guests. The city gallery is an idea of Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog to showcase Iloilo City's glorious heritage and noble past, as well as Ilonggo creativity, industry and continuing achievements, among others. The gallery is open free to the public during official hours Monday to Friday. Mayor Jed said organized city tours can start at the city gallery to provide visitors a quick glimpse of what Iloilo City is all about.
