CITY HALL ENSURES PUBLIC SAFETY AS CLASSES START

Public Safety and Transportation Management Office (PSTMO) has deployed some 50 personnel which includes traffic aides, police auxiliaries, Special Services Unit (SSU), and Task Force Anti-Squatting and Illegal Structure (ASIS) as classes start in public schools June 4.

The personnel will be deployed especially on pedestrian lanes and near the schools, said PSTMO head Jeck Conlu.

The deployment has been implemented for the safety and convenience especially of students due to traffic congestion caused by road constructions.


“Indeed, the situation is really difficult because of physical structures of some roads. We want to finish the construction works as soon as possible. We will do our best to help the traffic flow continuously,” Conlu said. (Dweezel Kate Mayormente & Roger Paul Timothy Lacuarta/Iloilo City PIO)
