The Iloilo City Public Safety and Transportation Management Office (PSTMO) urged road contractors to work on roads 24 hours, seven days a week.
PSTMO head Jeck Conlu said if the contractors will work double time, the problem on traffic congestion will be lessened.
“We will be facing another problem as the rainy season comes in the month of June. So, I am asking a favor and appealing to contractors to work longer hours on roads being constructed,” Conlu said.
Conlu assured the public that the City Government will find ways to ease traffic congestion particularly in areas with road constructions in Lapuz; Luna in La Paz; Molo, Arevalo; Quezon-Delgado, and Gen. Luna St, City Proper. (Dweezel Kate Mayormente/Iloilo City PIO)
