The Iloilo City Government has extended the deadline for filing of applications for Pag-Ulikid Scholarship program until June 8.
The extension will accommodate some 200 qualified beneficiaries.
So far, there are 147 applicants who are incoming college freshmen, said Rey Jason Gregorio, executive director of Local Youth Development Office (LYDO).
Application forms are available at LYDO at 6th floor of City Hall.
Those who will be pre-qualified will take the competitive exam. The results will be assessed by the Scholarship Commission.
Scholars will be given P1,000 each monthly allowance. However, they should meet the requirements, especially the grades that they need to maintain and their performance in school. (Cherry Patriarca, Marla Aleckzandrew Vargas & Alyssa Kaye Alba/Iloilo City PIO)
