The Iloilo City Population Office (CPO) posted a decrease in teenage pregnancy cases in the metropolis in 2017 compared to that of 2016.
Last year, CPO recorded 583 teenage pregnancy cases which were lower by 108 cases or 15.62 percent from 691 cases in previous year.

Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III initiated an educational financial assistance program that will support incoming college freshmen from low income families to finish their studies in schools of their choice.
The program will accommodate 200 beneficiaries for school year 2018-2019. Each recipient will receive P1,000 per month or P5,000 every term.

The Iloilo City Government in partnership with Produkto Lokal will hold a Trade Fair at Jaro Plaza Bandstand starting 4pm on May 25-27.
“Mayor Joe III Espinosa’s Pag-Ulikid program aims to bring social services closer to the people. He also advocates for ‘Invest, Invest, Invest’ to strengthen the business climate in the city as well as promoting micro- entrepreneurs. That is why the City Government partners with them for this three-day Trade Fair,” Local Economic and Investment Promotions Office (LEIPO) head Ritchel Gavan said.
Produkto Lokal is being run by the Youth First Initiative which gathers micro-entrepreneurs and provides them with venue where they can display their products for selling.
The activity will gather 50 exhibitors who belong to food, non-food, and farm sectors.

The IISDN refers to the network of facilities, institutions, and providers within the city, health and social system offering information, training, and core packages of health and social care services in an integrated and coordinated manner. Iloilo City Government headed by Mayor Jose Espinosa III officially launched its “Pag-Ulikid sang Syudad Program” which brought free services to barangays of San Juan, Molo and Tanza Baybay, City Proper April 21.
Thousands trooped to San Juan in the morning, and Tanza Baybay in the afternoon, where the City Health Office (CHO) and Dental Health Division offered dental and medical services, and circumcision.
