The Iloilo City Business Permits and Licensing Division (BPLD) will start issuing Feb. 1 the notices to businesses that failed to have their permits renewed.
BPLD head Norman Tabud said the first notice will give business owners 10 days to comply with their permits.
“If they still fail to comply, we will issue the second notice wherein they will be asked to explain in writing their reason for non-renewal. For the last notice, they will be summoned by the City Legal Office for a conference wherein we will hear their side before we decide to issue or not to issue a closure order,” Tabud said. The Iloilo City Health Office (CHO) has advised the public to eat moderately during Christmas parties.
“Eating your favorite food is not prohibited, like if you want to eat lechon, but you should eat moderately,” City Health Officer Dr. Bernard Caspe said.
